This is a certificate that you can purchase from BMW Mobile Tradition. If you send them the model, engine and frame number of your bike, plus 80DM. They will send you this kind of certificate. The certificate includes the bikes date of manufacture and date of delivery and to which dealer it was originally delivered.
The metal disc is something that I included. It's the original dealers' badge that was attached to the front mudguard of the bike. I'm amazed that this badge was still on the bike. One discrepancy though, according to BMW the dealer was "KARN" according to the person who made the badge his name was "KORN" Notice the telephone number on the badge, three digits! Heilsbronn must have been a small town in those days.
