There are no after shots to be offered on this page. So be warned, these are not pretty pictures. The frame is probably the least obnoxious. It was in surprisingly good condition apart from the fact that at some stage someone had welded on a side stand from a Honda. And it is the original frame, all the numbers match. |

The chameleon. This tank has more colors than the house of color. All the colors don't worry me so much; it's only paint. But it's also full of plastic filler; there are lots of dings in the tank. The toolbox lid and lock were also missing and their hinges were broken off. Surprisingly inside the tank is not rusty and still has the original red protective coating. Glimpses of the original tank pin striping. |

The front guard must have suffered badly from the rust bug. Somebody didn't like the looks of the original "elephant ear" shape so decided on cutting it off and riveting on the GT Sports mud flap. |

The rear guard is no better than the rest, lots of filler and rust. I'm not really sure on what to do, try to repair this lot or source good second hand ones. New tanks and guards are available but very expensive. I think it's going to be a while before I get the "after" page posted on this site. |
